Getting a big box to such high speeds isn’t easy,so Toyota made a number of modifications to help the Land Speed Cruiser cross the two-century mark. Under the hood, a pair of Garrett turbochargers have been fitted to the Land Cruiser’s 5.7-liter V-8 engine, resulting in more more than 2000 horsepower, which is routed through a special racing transmission developed by ATI. Helping in the cause is a more aerodynamic body that’s been lowered and fitted with a chunky front splitter, a big rear diffuser, a slick rear wing, and cameras instead of rearview mirrors.
